Founded in Michigan as an engineering design company for vehicle drive systems

1964
Jered Industries, Inc.

Jered acquires American Engineering, producers of streering gears and deck machinery since the 1880s, and enters the marine market

1970s
Jered becomes a leading source of shipboard equipment to the U.S. Navy

Jered products include hydraulic steering systems, weapons and deck edge elevators

1980s
Jered Brown Brothers

Aqcuired by Vickers PLC, Jered supplies deck edge elevators to the French and Spanish navies, steering gear systems to Australia and Taiwan

1990
Newport News recognizes Jered’s Quality

Northrop Grumman Newport News presents Jered with “Top 10 Supplier” award

1991
Jered relocates to Brunswick, GA & Wins ELCAS(M)

Jered selected as a qualified systems engineering and program management company ELCAS(M)

1997
Jered Industries, Inc.

Jered develops new products for the LPD Program; accommodation ladder, hinged ramps, portable sideport ramps, flight deck ramp doors, etc.

2005
Jered LLC

Jered is acquired by PAR Systems; undertakes the construction of a 5100T Crane for the Corps of Engineers (Olmsted Dam); develops the first electric anchor windlass for the U.S. Navy’s DDG-51 Program

2006
Jered acquires Unidynamics’ product line

Jered adds the helicopter hangar doors, vertical package conveyors, access doors, aviation maintenance, well deck and launch handling and recovery cranes to product line

Jered’s experienced staff includes design engineering, program management, production control, quality assurance with Level II and III NDT technicians, material management, welding engineers, certified welders, test engineers, technicians, and field service engineers. ENGINEERING SERVICES

At Jered, design and engineering drives our work. An industry leader, we are experienced in addressing the challenges associated with highly complex shipboard projects. We are familiar with the challenges of an aging fleet and are experienced in the design and development of kits and retrofits to maintain our fleet and continue operation for years to come.

ELEVATOR SERVICES

Jered provides maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, testing, and certification services for all types of elevators on all types of vessels. Whether commercial, government (including military), or offshore, we specialize in improving the reliability and safety of elevators by upgrading equipment with state of the-art components and controls.

TECHNICAL FIELD SERVICES

Jered employees (industry-leading technicians and engineers, product support teams, service technicians, and engineers) are waterfront at each major shipyard and are able to respond to any issue within 24 hours to provide comprehensive, expert support.
